A great photograph, to me, is the representation of a subject in its true environment, portraying it the most natural, unforced way possible. Thus, this may be the best birthday flyer I have seen in a while. Obi is probably the most easygoing, likeable human being I know. We joke with each other about how I am DJ Obi's #1 fan, as he on occasion plays "my song." .... Which the song happens to change almost every time he says it.....
But that's besides the point.
Without sounding like a total sap, I can safely say that I really would consider myself Obi's #1 fan. Period. I wouldn't even know the words to describe him that would do him justice. But if you know him, you know what I mean. The kid is just plainly the coolest person I know. In a world of shit-talking, social climbing pricks, I can say with certainty that Obi doesn't have a bad bone in him, and I love him for the silly, talented, and entertaining person he is.
ANYWAY... It's his goddamn birthday tonight @ The Vagabond so honestly, if you miss this, your decision will probably give you bad luck for the next 7 years, and let's face it... you're pretty much almost thirty. So get your dancing shoes on, call your drug dealer, and get the fuck to downtown tonight.
