Ask Ya'self...

So this is my first job I've had that is actually... serious? I'm working for an international advertising agency here in the City of 1,000 degrees, and I was wonder what the etiquette is for the following situation:

The office is big. There's probably 30 cubicles all crammed together, and everyone's desk faces the opening of the cubicles towards the hallway. Being the over-caffeinated smoker freak that I am, I get up a lot for various reasons, having to pass these openings frequently. I don't want people to think I'm unfriendly, especially since I am their bitch intern, but I don't want to come off looking as creepy as this:

emo?

My question is... What's the etiquette for when you are constantly catching the eye of the same people as you walk by?? Do I just look down and keep walking? Or give a mini-smile when I reach an opening down this long hallway of awkwardness? Just a thought...

I experience similar issues at my office considering i too am a caffinated hung over smoker too. If i am feeling friendly i might stop to chat with one, but if not i give the eyebrow raise as a means of acknolging them but not stopping to make conversation.
But what i have found to be most useful is walking with purpose, if u act like ur in the middle of something and just look ahead and walk with intent no one will bother you.

whizzle,

I will take that into consideration the next time I make the awkward hallway pass... thank you for your insight!
