Ponder on this random observation. . .

How come nothing in a $0.99 store actually cost $0.99? This has boggled my mind for years. Does anyone else feel a bit mislead? Why don't they just call their store "Cheap shit you probably don't need but because its so cheap you're going to buy it" store. I mean isn't honesty the best policy? That's what my mom taught me.
